i spent thanksgiving (i am so sick of hearing about thanksgiving) in southern utah, like i always do. me and momma were left with an afternoon to ourselves, so we went and hiked around in zion's national park. out of all the parks i've been to, zion is definitely not my favorite. but its still super pretty, and i love the outdoors so i couldn't pass it up.

my favorite part of the afternoon was passing fellow hikers on the trails and they would shout something like "go aggies!" or "what a great football team!" because i was wearing one of my utah state shirts. it made me so proud to be an aggie. i just really freaking love utah state.

p.s. i can't upload any more photos to my blog because it says my picassa web albums are full. i have no idea how to fix it and its really making me mad. anyone else having this problem, or know how to fix it?

turkey and stuff

so i guess i should do some sort of post about what i'm thankful for, but if i were to list everything, we would be here all day. here are my top five.

1. family.
2. friends.
3. mountains.
4. utah state university.
5. country music.

and lots of other things that i don't feel like listing.
happy thanksgiving followers, i am off to st george to relax with family.

blood sweat & beers.

last saturday i was lucky enough to go to the eric church concert with my best friend.
let me just tell you, it was an awesome show. i had the time of my life.
i know i say that about every concert i go to, but really, this one may have been the best.
country music is a huge part of my life, and every time i go to a country concert, i am reminded of why i support this music. every time i go to a country concert, i feel right at home.

i wish i could re-live that night.

but by far, the best moment of the night was when eric sang a song called these boots. everyone in the crowd started taking off their cowboy boots and holding them in the air. me and angie took one of our boots off and held them up while he sang the song. right as i took my boot off, i looked up to see eric church holding his own boot. it sounds cheesy, but it brought tears to my eyes. the feeling was over-whelming to be standing in a room full of people who believe and love the same things i do. it made me think of all my friends back home who wear boots. they are the reason i was at that concert wearing my boots. damn, these boots.

i like my country rockin.

its no surprise, i am addicted to concerts.

tonight i am going to see eric church with justin moore & kip moore.

you bet your bottom i'll be belting every single word.

bless country music.

so happy.

well, my best friend is engaged! i am so freaking happy for her and her fiance jared.
i set jared and angie up three years ago (that's another story), and now look, they are getting married!
angie has been my best friend for almost six years and jared has become a brother to me over the past three years. jared is such a great guy and honestly, i am so happy angie is marrying him. she is going to be in the best hands and i know jared will take care of her and treat her like a princess. its super weird that my best friend is engaged, but its awesome.

jared told me the engagement plans about a month ago. we have been secretly planning this shindig ever since. it has been SO hard trying to keep it a secret from angie, and my blog. i've wanted to write about it for the longest time, but i've had to keep quiet about it.

today at seven AM we started on the four hour drive down to moab, utah where angie and jared first met - kind of. we pulled into arches national park and found an arch we wanted to hike to. we hiked to the arch, jared asked me to take a picture, and while i was taking a picture jared got down on one knee. i started to cry like a litle baby, and angie didn't even cry at all. i just couldn't help myself. i love angie and jared so much they are like family to me. anyway, the rest is history and i am so giddy with excitement for two of my greatest friends.

i'm always really busy, and when im not i really don't have anything to special to blog about.
my days consist of class, studying, homework and the gym.
but college is so good and i love it here.
every day i love this place more and more.
logan feels like home to me now.
here is a picture of me and chase petting a wolf.

you live and learn

i am so grateful for this guy. he is my ex boyfriend. i guess i wasn't all that honest with my blog & my readers, but i was dating a guy i met up here at school for a while. i met him in my english class, and things took off from there. we had our go around, but due to my problems and insecurities, i ended the relationship.
chase isn't the type i usually date. all my friends asked what i was doing, because they knew he didn't fit my normal criteria, but something about chase drew me to him. i usually date the rough and rugged cowboys and hunters, but chase was exactly opposite of that.

chase taught me so much in the short time we were together. his example was so powerful to me. he has such a positive outlook on life and has such big goals. chase pushed me so hard to grow and become something bigger than myself. his example rubbed off on me and i feel like i am a better person from dating him. things may not have worked out between us, but this kid changed my life. he will accomplish great things, and i will be so happy for him. his drive makes me want to try harder, and i will. my life has been different since meeting him. he helped me discover who i am truly meant to be.

dance baby dance

this song gets me.

country music is the greatest.
